How do you make it?

Slightly dry roast the flattened rice on a skillet pan and grind it in a food processor coarsely.
The rice needs to be moistened with a bit of water. Sprinkle about a teaspoon and add more until it is soft with no lumps

In a heavy bottomed pan, add the grated jaggery and some water to make a semi liquid consistency. Keep stirring in high flame.
When the mixture starts boiling, remove it from the flame and sieve it, to remove the dirt if any.

Now add the mixture to the same pan and bring it to low heat.
Add the grated coconut and keep stirring till the mixture starts to thicken. When dropped into cold water the sauce should form small pellets. This means the sauce is ready.
